Athina Markopoulou

Bio.
I received my Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the
National Technical University of Athens, Greece, in 1996.
I received my Master's and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from
Stanford University, in 1998 and 2003 respectively.
During my Ph.D., I had internships at Aloha Networks, Nokia Research Center,
and Cisco Systems.
I have been a postdoctoral research fellow
at Sprintlabs (2003) and at
Stanford University (2004-2005),
and a member of the technical staff with Arastra Inc.(2005).
I joined the EECS faculty at UCI in Jan. 2006.
My research interestes include network coding, media streaming, network
measurement, and network security.
I received the NSF CAREER award in 2008.
At UCI, I am affiliated with
the EECS Dept.,
the Networked Systems Program,
CalIT2,
CPCC,
and SCONCE.
