Biography:

I am a postdoctoral associate in the CNRG group at MIT. I received my Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Irvine in December 2010, M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Sabanci University, Turkey in 2005, and B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Istanbul University, Turkey, in 2003. During my PhD at UCI, I was a member of Networking Group. I worked as a summer intern in AT&T Labs Research in 2010, Docomo USA Labs in 2008, and Microsoft Research, Cambridge in 2007. Research:

My research interests are in the area of networking: design, analysis, and optimization of network protocols and algorithms. I am particularly interested in network optimization, network coding, and multimedia streaming. Currently, I am working at the intersection of cross layer optimization and system implementation, with particular focus on flow control, routing, and network coding.
